What NOT To Do In the Rain

It’s been raining recently and at first I thought I’d make a post on what to do when it’s raining. But then I was like, “Nah, a lot of people probably have talked about this. So, I’m going list a bunch of things that you shouldn’t do in the rain.

Obviously, there are a lot of things that you shouldn’t do in the rain.

1. Run outside in the rain with your socks on.

I don’t think anyone would actually do that, but I put it in here just in case anyone has never felt wet socks on their feet before.

For the people who has never felt wet socks on their feet before, DON’T TRY IT. It is one of the most uncomfortable feelings in the world. It defeats the whole purpose of wearing socks, which is keeping your feet nice and warm. Running into puddles with your socks on is a really bad idea because after you get out of the rain, your feet just feel horrible. It also feels really icky to walk around in wet socks and it keeps your feet just wet and gross. Also, the socks will smell revolting and feel soggy. Nobody likes soggy socks.

2. Read a book/magazine outside.

Don’t read a book outside when it rains. There’s a chance that you could drop it in a puddle or the raindrops may hit the book, and the book or magazine will be ruined FOREVER (not really forever, you can dry the book but the pages will be ruined and/or wrinkled, and that’s a bad thing). It’s okay to read a book under something that will shield you from the rain, but don’t read it when you’re outside, exposed to the sky! It’s better for some people to read indoors because it’s cozy and warm inside, and your book has a lower chance of getting wet.

3. Walk on the sidewalks or edges near the street.

You see that poor person getting drenched by the black car? You don’t want that to happen to you right? I suggest you either not walk near the sidewalk or just stay inside. However, if you’re in a situation where you have to walk on the sidewalk next to the street without an umbrella to protect you, turn your back towards the splashing car and squat. I think that would help shield your face, arms and legs from getting wet.

4. Try to water-bend outside.

I would suggest you to not try waterbending in the rain. Why? Well chances are, you will fail to control the water and you’ll just be wet and disappointed. Try waterbending indoors. Yeah, you’ll probably be disappointed, but at least you’re not wet.

Thanks for reading my post on things you shouldn’t do in the rain! Remember, don’t do these things ever! In fact, don’t do anything outside at all! Just stay inside. Bye! -Megan
